HLTAID001 Provide CPR
Unit Overview: This course covers the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.

Delivery and Duration: 2.5hrs (approx) classroom
Prerequisites: nil
Class size: 10-12
Course Requirements: Training For Trees provides associated equipment
Method of Training: Practical, demonstrations and instructions
Method of Assessment: Theory and practical assessment
Award: All persons assessed as successfully meeting the assessment criteria will be marked as competent and will be issued with an Australian nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the units of competency assessed
Expiry: The First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice recommends that first aiders should attend training on a regular basis to refresh their first aid knowledge and skills, and to confirm their competence to provide first aid. Refresher training in CPR should be undertaken annually.
