FWPCOT2274 Fall trees manually (Basic) (Forestry)
This course covers the process of introductory or base-level that covers the felling procedures for relatively small trees with a low level of complexity and defines the standard required to: prepare and properly maintain equipment; determine the tree felling conditions, direction of fall, safe fall zone, exclusion zone and escape route; use safe tree felling techniques; use safe tree removal techniques. The course outcome will provide the student with the skills and knowledge for the process of small tree felling where hazards have been assessed as low risk .

Course Requirements
Training For Trees provides PPE, Chainsaws associated equipment but all candidates are required to wear steel toe cap boots. Gloves are optional and are to be supplied by candidate. Please note the location for the practical component of this course is in a simulated working environment (remote woodland) and consideration must be made with regards storing your food and water and suitable clothing e.g sun protection conducive for this environment.
